Today’s Prompt

Write a poem exploring the concepts of Hope, Decay, and Memory. The Navigation card offers a bonus challenge: in your poem, each line can contain no more than 3 words.
Short-short lines can offer a sense of propulsive movement in a poem, but also a sense of discordance. Line break after line break in quick succession changes the poem's feel, shape, and impact. Plus, you want each line to convey something unique and essential, even if each line is also in relation to each other. Have fun with this experiment!
Paintings and prompts:
Hope
What makes you believe in a better tomorrow?
Decay
What dead things are you holding onto?
Memory
Write about something you know happened, but don't remember well.
